Dainty Dory a seafood bistro at Terminal 21. Inside it's like finding yourself in one of those sunny seaside Greek cafes featured on TV and films
Carnation cheer brightened up a dreary day in the office. Read: marking finals that never seem to
end. A vase of red pink carnations is the only cheer in a sea of
academic bits and pieces. I made it til sign out time by imagining tea
served on the porch of an antebellum mansion.
Mother's Day gift. The day for Moms has been awhile but I've been busy. This week was my only chance to take a close look at a gift a friend gave me.
Finding the perfect purchase during a routine book shopping. The friend who gave me the Body Shop Chocomania gift set (above) mentioned she and her diving buddies fancy the Great Barrier Reef next year. The Dive Sites of the Great Barrier Reef is a nice book that provides what my friend would most likely need to know about the place. I love it when it's my turn to give gifts.
Calamari wish granted: my little brunch at Dory
Hope your grading ends soon. What a beautiful idea to surround yourself with the carnations to help ease you through your day.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It is a good feeling to give gifts. And when the gift is a match, so much the better!
I hope you have a refreshing weekend, Hazel.
I love the smell of carnations! They're pretty, too!
ReplyDeleteThe restaurant sounds like a great place to visit.
Lovely week you've had!
ReplyDeleteI love when I come across the absolutely perfect gift for somebody. It's so fun. You were also gifted with something really nice. The Body Shop has wonderful products. I love carnations and they would definitely cheer me up! It's fun when a restaurant can transport you to another place with their decor and food.
ReplyDeletelove your Body Shop gift--great scent. my mom adds lemon grass & pandan leaves to her drinking water--she said it relieves her arthritis pain.:)
ReplyDeleteMarvellous.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It is wonderful when you find the perfect gift for a friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Blue Monday, Hazel.
It's such a warm feeling to be a gracious giver. I so much enjoyed reading this post. I felt at home in the Greek Tavern with the Calamari; love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat post filled with super ideas. Anyone would enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThe bistro looks so cozy. I'm curious about the lemongrass juice, I'd like to try it. I played too. Mine are here and here.
